Ticketly — Terms of Use
Effective Date: 10 September, 2026
Last Updated: 12 October, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ticketly ("Ticketly", "the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), a Discord support and ticket-management platform operated by BaconLight Studios™.
By adding Ticketly to a Discord server, accessing the Ticketly Dashboard, configuring Ticketly, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using Ticketly and remove the bot from any Discord server under your control.
1. Description of the Service
Ticketly is a Discord-based support platform designed to help Discord communities manage support requests.
Depending on the features currently available, Ticketly may allow authorized server administrators to:
- deploy a support panel within a Discord server;
- allow members to create support tickets;
- create private ticket channels;
- assign a designated Discord role to manage tickets;
- configure a ticket activity log channel;
- maintain a server-specific knowledge base;
- configure questions, answers, and keywords for the knowledge base;
- provide keyword-based suggestions when a ticket appears to match stored knowledge;
- manage Ticketly settings through the Ticketly Dashboard; and
- authenticate through Discord OAuth.
Ticketly's features may be modified, expanded, restricted, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
2. Eligibility
You may use Ticketly only if you are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms under the laws applicable to you.
If you are using Ticketly on behalf of a Discord server, community, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have sufficient authority to configure and use Ticketly on that server.
Ticketly does not currently require users to create a separate Ticketly account. Dashboard authentication is performed through Discord OAuth.
3. Discord Account and Authorization
Ticketly relies on Discord's platform and APIs to provide its functionality.
When you select "Continue with Discord" on the Ticketly Dashboard, you are redirected to Discord's authorization system. Ticketly requests only the Discord OAuth permissions required for its dashboard functionality, including access to your Discord identity and the Discord servers associated with your account that Discord makes available through the authorized scopes.
Ticketly does not receive or store your Discord password.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account and for all actions performed through your Discord account.
4. Server Administrator Responsibility
Ticketly is primarily configured and controlled by Discord server administrators.
A person configuring Ticketly for a Discord server is responsible for ensuring that:
- they have appropriate permission to administer the server;
- Ticketly is configured appropriately;
- the selected staff role is assigned only to appropriate members;
- the configured log channel is appropriate for ticket-related information;
- the server's members are informed about any relevant data practices;
- personal or confidential information is not collected unnecessarily through tickets;
- knowledge-base content is accurate and lawful; and
- the use of Ticketly complies with applicable laws, Discord's rules, and the server's own rules.
Ticketly does not control the content submitted by individual Discord users or the way server administrators use information obtained through Ticketly.
5. Ticket Content
Users may submit information when creating a support ticket.
This information may include the user's question, problem description, or other content voluntarily provided by the user.
Ticket content may be visible to:
- the user who created the ticket;
- the Ticketly bot;
- members with access to the ticket through the configured Discord permissions; and
- server administrators or staff who otherwise have sufficient Discord permissions.
You should not submit passwords, payment-card information, authentication credentials, security codes, or other highly sensitive information through a Ticketly ticket unless absolutely necessary and lawfully requested by the responsible server.
Ticketly is not responsible for sensitive information voluntarily disclosed by users to a Discord server's staff.
6. Ticket Channels and Ticket Records
When a ticket is created, Ticketly may create a dedicated Discord channel with permission restrictions intended to limit access to the ticket owner, Ticketly, and the configured staff role.
When a ticket is closed, Ticketly may:
- mark the ticket as closed in its internal database;
- send a closing or activity log to the configured log channel, where applicable; and
- delete the corresponding Discord ticket channel.
Deleting a Discord ticket channel does not necessarily mean that the corresponding internal Ticketly database record is immediately deleted.
Ticket records may therefore remain in Ticketly's database after the associated Discord channel has been deleted.
7. Knowledge Base
Ticketly allows server administrators to create server-specific knowledge-base entries.
A knowledge-base entry may contain:
- a representative question;
- a suggested answer; and
- keywords or phrases used for matching.
Ticketly uses these entries to perform keyword-based matching against newly submitted ticket requests.
The resulting confidence or similarity indication is a matching estimate and is not a guarantee that the suggested answer is correct.
Server administrators are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, appropriateness, and intellectual-property status of content they add to their knowledge base.
Ticketly may not independently verify knowledge-base content.
8. Automated Suggestions
Ticketly may automatically analyze the text of a support request against the knowledge configured by a server administrator.
These automated results are intended solely as support suggestions.
Ticketly does not guarantee that:
- a suggested answer will be correct;
- a ticket will be classified correctly;
- every relevant ticket will be identified;
- an irrelevant ticket will never be matched;
- a confidence percentage accurately represents the real-world correctness of an answer; or
- automated matching will always be available.
Users and server staff should use their own judgment when relying on automated suggestions.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Ticketly to:
- violate applicable law or regulation;
- violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other applicable Discord policies;
- facilitate fraud, scams, harassment, threats, or abuse;
- distribute malicious software or harmful code;
- intentionally collect sensitive personal information without an appropriate lawful basis;
- impersonate Ticketly, BaconLight Studios™, Discord, or another person or organization;
- interfere with or attempt to compromise the Service;
- circumvent security mechanisms or access controls;
- intentionally overload or disrupt Ticketly or its infrastructure;
- use the Service to facilitate illegal activities;
- exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for unauthorized purposes;
- submit content that infringes another person's intellectual-property rights; or
- use Ticketly in a manner that creates unreasonable risk to Ticketly, BaconLight Studios™, Discord, or other users.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe the Service is being abused or used in violation of these Terms.
10. Intellectual Property
Ticketly, including its software, branding, interface, visual design, documentation, original code, logos, and other materials created by BaconLight Studios™, is owned by or licensed to BaconLight Studios™ unless otherwise stated.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of Ticketly or its underlying software.
You may use Ticketly only as permitted by these Terms and the functionality made available by the Service.
Server administrators retain responsibility for content they submit to Ticketly, including knowledge-base questions, answers, keywords, and ticket-related content submitted through their Discord server.
By submitting content to Ticketly, you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide that content and that doing so does not violate applicable law or the rights of another person.
11. Third-Party Services
Ticketly depends on third-party services and infrastructure, including Discord and hosting or infrastructure providers used to operate the Service.
Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord's own terms, policies, and privacy practices.
Ticketly does not control the availability, security, policies, or functionality of third-party services.
Changes, outages, restrictions, or failures affecting third-party services may affect Ticketly.
12. Service Availability
Ticketly is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that:
- Ticketly will always be available;
- Ticketly will operate without interruption;
- every feature will remain available;
- the Service will be error-free;
- the Service will be compatible with every Discord configuration;
- ticket creation will always succeed;
- automated matching will always operate correctly; or
- data will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.
Scheduled maintenance, technical failures, Discord API changes, hosting failures, security incidents, and other circumstances may temporarily affect the Service.
13. Changes to the Service
We may modify Ticketly at any time.
Changes may include:
- adding or removing features;
- changing how existing features operate;
- changing dashboard functionality;
- changing storage or technical architecture;
- introducing new limitations;
- changing eligibility requirements; or
- discontinuing the Service or specific features.
Where appropriate, material changes may be reflected in an updated version of these Terms or the Privacy Policy.
14. Free Service
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Ticketly is currently provided without a mandatory subscription fee.
Being free of charge does not create a guarantee that Ticketly will remain free indefinitely.
We may introduce paid features, optional subscriptions, usage limits, or other pricing structures in the future.
Any paid functionality introduced in the future will be subject to the applicable pricing and terms presented at that time.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Ticketly if we reasonably determine that:
- these Terms have been violated;
- the Service is being abused;
- the Service is being used unlawfully;
- the Service presents a security or operational risk;
- continued access could harm other users or infrastructure; or
- suspension is necessary for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
You may stop using Ticketly at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server and ceasing to use the Dashboard.
Removing Ticketly from a server does not automatically guarantee immediate deletion of previously stored database records.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ticketly is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, except where such warranties cannot legally be excluded.
We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of information produced through Ticketly's automated matching functionality.
Ticketly is a technical support-management tool. It is not a replacement for professional legal, medical, financial, security, or other professional advice.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BaconLight Studios™ and its operators, developers, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Ticketly.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses relating to:
- interruption of service;
- loss of data;
- loss of access to Discord content;
- incorrect automated suggestions;
- unauthorized disclosure caused by a user's or administrator's actions;
- Discord outages or changes;
- third-party service failures; or
- server configuration errors.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful or unauthorized use of Ticketly, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit to or process through Ticketly.
This section does not require you to indemnify us where applicable law prohibits such an obligation.
19. Privacy
Your use of Ticketly is also governed by the Ticketly Privacy Policy, which explains what information Ticketly collects, how it is used, and how it is retained.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the overall terms governing your use of the Service.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will become effective when published, unless a different effective date is stated.
Your continued use of Ticketly after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
